Coming to a store near you!
A very exciting part of my story is where my fudge is being sold. When researching to find out who my competition was I was looking retail and found 1 See’s Candy but they only offered 2 flavors. As I continued my search I asked friends thru a facebook if they have ever bought some and where. This facebook post changed my life. My friend told me a couple places she had purchased it before. I called the store and asked for the bakery and asked “do you sell fudge” She said no we use to 3 years ago we need a new vendor. Ok so I hung up the phone and thought hmm I’ll make a batch and bring it to the store. I walked in with my tupperware container of my famous white fudge and said Hi my name is Bridget I called yesterday asking if you sold fudge. She said yes you spoke with me luckily she was the bakery manager. So I explained I was starting a business and would she be interested in selling my fudge she said YES!! She was very excited and told me that would great she told me to get my permits,business license and so forth together and come back. Well fast forward to today it was my 3rd week sampling my fudge at the store! http://www.majormarketgrocery.com/
Fudge Lady
I bought this shirt because so many people would say Hey aren’t you the Fudge Lady” so much that that people that even know my name have started calling that. So I have been wearing the shirt when I demo at the store it’s a great marketing piece
How the Fudge Lady Came to be
Hi my name is Bridget and my company is Bridget Rose Delights. I currently sell fudge and would like to share my journey to how I became the “Fudge Lady”
I have been volunteering at Tri City Hospital for over a year now. I have worked in 2 different departments. When I switched to the ICU My first day there people would ask no candy no treats? I quickly learned the reason they were asking was the majority of the volunteers brought candy and put it on the desk. So after the 2 or 3rd request I thought alright but I wasn’t bringing bagged candy.
So every week I would bring my white chocolate fudge. I can’t leave this part out when I would bring it I would cut into cubes and people would say “is that cheese” So when I would get to the unit I would hear. “She’s here with the cheese” As time went on I was getting the most unbelievable reactions of how much they enjoyed it. People would see me and say hey your the lady that makes the fudge and eventually since some did not know my name and I would bring orders people would say “Hey Rick the Fudge Lady is here with your fudge”. My favorite that happened to me today was a lady came up to me she said “Sarah” told me to come here for your fudge I told her I didn’t know where to go and she said “You don’t know the Fudge Lady” 🙂 It really warms my heart to see how much people enjoy the fudge.
